So what will you find when you join a Curves For Women?
When I signed up, I was told that the initial sign up fee is usually $149 but they were running a half-off special, so I paid $74.50 upfront. Also, they said they normally collect the first month's fee of $29.99, but it was waived because of the special. So, in addition to the sign up fee, there is a monthly charge of $29.99 if you do check drafting. Check drafting is when you give them a voided check, and they automatically take $29.99 a month out of your checking account on the same day you signed up. I signed up on the 1st, so they'll take out $29.99 on the first of every month. If you choose not to go that route, you'll pay $39.99 a month.
On your very first visit, which you will schedule, you will be weighed and measured, as well as have your body fat analyzed. The measurements are for the bust, hips, waist, abdomen, thighs and arms. The hand held body fat analyzer is from Omron, and takes mere seconds to calculate your Body Mass Index (BMI) and body fat percentage.
On your next visit, you will begin exercising and a Curves employee will walk you through working out at every machine and station, 3 times around, including stretching at the end.
